Through high school in Dallas, she was a consistent top salesperson in fundraising drives for her marching band and team of baton twirlers. During her five years at SMU, her attention to detail won her the positions of Sports Editor, News Editor and Front Page Editor of the Daily Campus newspaper. She also interned in the advertising department at Neiman-Marcus, where she learned the two rules of customer service. Number 1, "The Customer is Always Right," and Number 2, "If You Believe the Customer is Wrong, Go Back and Read Rule Number 1."
Before beginning her career in real estate 11 years ago, she owned a computer graphic design business. Her very first year, she sold 39 houses. Twenty-seven of those were her listings, and 12 were her buyers.
